QuαΊ£ng Trα»‹ ist eine Provinz im zentralen Vietnam (BαΊ―c Trung Bα»™), 600 km sΓΌdlich von Ha Noi. Die Provinzhauptstadt ist Đông HΓ . Das Gebiet umfasst eine FlΓ€che von rund 4.750 kmΒ² mit einer BevΓΆlkerung von etwa 623.500 (2016). Quang Tri grenzt an HuαΊΏ.

Bedeutung im Vietnamkrieg

Quang Tri lag am Teilungspunkt Vietnams wÀhrend des Vietnamkrieges. WÀhrend dieses Krieges war die Region ein ausgiebiges Schlachtfeld (besonders in Straße 9 und in Khe Sanh).
